Policy makers and governmental relations representatives attending this year's Independent Voter Project's Policy Conference in Maui will kick off the week with an in depth discussion on the potential for algae cultivation as a clean energy resource. Ari Patrinos, CEO of Synthetic Geonomics, says that algae cultivation could also stabilize the fragile Salton Sea while simultaneously cleaning up sewage effluent.
Synthetic Geonomics was founded by Craig Venter, the the first person to successful map the human genome.
